UPGRADES:

Electrical

The owner (an electrical engineer), worked with Maine Yacht Center in 2018 to spec and install a system that would allow for total "off the grid" independence, including the ability to leave the forward cabin air conditioning unit on overnight via the battery bank/inverter, or to run all 3 air con units during the days while charging via solar panels. All work done to ABYC specs at time of install.

2 x 560 amp hour lithium batteries with independent battery monitoring systems and monitoring gauge for each

Dual Victron 3000 watt inverters for all 110v systems (inverters will run all three air conditioning units via battery bank if shore power is unavailable)

American Power alternator de-rated to 230 amps, with additional cooling (replaces stock Yanmar alternator)

1200 watts of solar via Solbian SP1 flexible panels, each with individual MPPT controller; combined charging power of 90 amps/hr in full summer sun

Domestic Systems

12v Water maker installed under v-berth (6 gph)

Second water tank removed and replaced with additional fuel tank

Webasto diesel heater with 6 ducts throughout boat

Engine/Mechanical

Additional 50 gal fuel tank under starboard aft cabin (for a total of 100 gallons in two tanks)

Fuel polishing manifold with Racor and pump (allows for polishing tanks individually or while motoring)

Larger SD60 sail drive (SD50 standard on 439 model) with rope cutter

Upgraded American Power alternator rated to 360 amps but de-tuned to 230 amps; additional 3" ductwork and blower for cooling

Anchoring

67 lb Mantus anchor with 100 meters of 3/8" HT G4 chain anchor/bow wash down fitting in anchor locker

Sails and Canvas

Upgraded bimini and dodger frame to support solar panels Connector for bimini/dodger Mack Sails Code Zero with top-down furler Mack Sails asymmetric spinnaker (shares furler from Code Zero)
